Viewing an Item

The item detail view, and what you can inspect or edit there.

Opening an item displays its full detail view, where you can inspect and edit all of its data. The layout of the detail view is defined by the item type, so different types can arrange their fields into custom sections and columns.

Fields#

Each item has a set of typed fields defined by the group’s item type configuration — text, numbers, dates, dropdown lists, user and item references, attachments, and more. Edit a field by clicking on its value; changes are saved as you go.

Status#

If the item type defines a status workflow, you can move the item to the next or previous status directly from the detail view to advance it through your process.

Comments#

The comment section lets team members discuss the item. Type @ to mention another member — mentioned users are notified and automatically subscribed to the item’s activity.

Attachments#

Upload files directly to an item. Attachments can be downloaded or removed by authorized members.

History#

The history panel shows a chronological log of every change made to the item — field edits, status transitions, and comments — recording who made each change and when. Individual changes can be undone from the panel.

When an item type includes a “child items” section, items that reference the current one are listed inline, so you can see and navigate to related work without leaving the page.

Tips#

  • Use @mentions in comments to pull the right people in — they’ll be notified and start following the item automatically.
  • Made a wrong edit? Open the history panel and undo it rather than re-typing the old value.
