Members

Add, remove and re-role the people in the group.

The members page lets group administrators control who has access to the group and what role they hold.

Adding members#

Add users by searching for their name or email. When adding a member, assign them a role that determines their permissions within the group. The number of members a group can hold may be capped by the group’s plan or an instance-wide limit.

Changing roles#

Select a member to change their assigned role. Role changes take effect immediately.

Removing members#

Remove a member to revoke their access to the group. Past contributions (comments, edits, history) stay attributed to their account — removal only affects future access.

Finding members#

The member list shows each user’s name, email, and assigned role. Use the search field to filter the list by name or email — useful in groups with many members.

Tips#

  • Decide a member’s role before adding them — the role controls everything they can see and do in the group.
  • A group always keeps at least one administrator; the last admin can’t be removed or demoted.
